I Suck. I Know.

Wow. So this girl has been M.I.A. for a little too long. I know, and I apologize right here, right now.

I really can only say that life has been kicking my ass lately, so it's been hard rolling. See - get ready for some life story - I'm going to be a senior. And I'm a very involved senior. And while music is my utmost and most passionate passion that I have, there are so many things I do that take up way too much time.

I will gladly say though that after cheer camp (no Internet, no time, and no headphones. What the hell was I thinking?) and after being on the verge of dying for the past couple weeks (coughing, fever, chills, pains, sore throat, headaches... fun business.), I am officially back on the blogging map. It's also been hard to find some new artists. I need to get rolling on PureVolume and Twitter (@Paige_Oliviaa) so I can find y'all some new obsessions!

Although I will say I went on a music buying spree the other day, so I do have some interpreting and opinion-giving to do! How exciting.

Well, as for now, I'm going to reward myself for finishing up half of my summer assignment (take that Frankenstein and Beowulf!) by getting plenty of sleep, so I may wake up, and go watch The Campaign tomorrow for the second time. Insert smiling emoji with teeth showing here.

Night lovers. Listen to that music <3

Oh Hai World!

Okay, so I Can Music has been having some major technical difficulties.

Like, computerless difficulties.

So sorry about that, and tomorrow normal posting will resume!

Send in some requests, because I've been getting some on Facebook and whatnot.

Have a great night world<3

Social Networking.

Hello there fantastic world of music lovers.

Just informing you of my own social network sites that available for you to stalk, creep, ignore, follow, friend, and etc.

I have debated over and over about whether I want to give out this information, but I decided that I should, because really there's no true information about me on any of these connecting sties... ha.

So first off, I would like to go for the obvious one, my Twitter profile. My "at" name is @Paige_Oliviaa and the link to my profile is:

That's for those of you a little too lazy to actually search "@Paige_Oliviaa" ha.

Next up I'd like to share my Instagram. Same name paige_oliviaa. I'm out there. I love my IG and probably post 2-4 pictures a day. If you have interesting pictures, I will follow you back! Twitter on the other hand, eh... But IG, I will follow ha.

My email, which if you don't know by now then you need to begin paying attention, is paige.stuhrenberg@gmail.com.

You can also "kik" me. Same name as everything else, "paige_oliviaa" ha. I try to keep everything the same because I'm very forgetful okay?! I will chat (: Just let me know who you are, and that you read my blog.

I have a Google+ profile. You can get to it by clicking on my name in the admin box. I will put you into my circles if you put me (: On there you'll be able to be updated on every post I do, since that's basically all that goes on there.

If you would like to Skype or Oovoo, my Skype name is "cheering4youu" and Oovoo's is ... well I'm not sure what my Oovoo name is but you can search my real name and you'll find me ha.

I do have Facebook, but no I will not add you. Sorry.

Well, that's all the updating that needs to be done I suppose! HMU ;D hahahaha.

FAQ's.

Okay soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
On my PureVolume profile, I get asked lots and lots of questions. So I'm just going to answer them on here... smart right? Haha. You have to come to my blog to see the answers, so I get more views! Yuh.

These will be in order of most asked, to least. Ready? And go:

Q) What is your number?
A) It's a ten digit number that starts with a 3 and ends with a 3. Best of luck.

Q) Here's my number, can you text me?
A) Uh, negative ghost rider.

Q) What are things you do, besides listen to music?
A) Well, I enjoy being active... like, real T. I cheer, dance, play tennis, lift weights, and enjoy going for walks and swims. And I love to just sleep. Like, really and truly I do. I also love being a part of 4-H and FFA. They're the reason I've been a little M.I.A. I was at some camps, and Ledbetter, Texas doesn't believe in internet.

Q) What made you start your blog?
A) That's all explained in my very first post, but to go into a little more detail, I tried for an Area Officer position in FFA. When I didn't get it, I was crushed. I really was. I cried for about 3 hours over it. And my good friend Jacquelyn told me that it was all for a reason, and I'd find something else to do. And she was right. This is what I believe God had planned for me. And if I was an area officer, there would be no way in hell that I could be doing this. So yea. Ha. Other than my love for music, there's why.

Q) How do you choose the bands you write about?
A) Well, they come to me. They message me, say, "Check out my music!" and then I do, and then I write. When and if I run out of people, I just go look up some bands, and then write about them. It's all first come, first serve and random.

Q) Who has been the nicest band you've talked to?
A) This one is a tough one. A lot of the bands are really nice and grateful for what I do. I would have to say the nicest person I've talked to though would have to be Tommy V Cooper from the Nightbirds. He's awesome. I love chatting with him on Facebook, and we've talked on Skype once. His voice is sexy. I enjoy listening to him tell me things. Ha.

Q) Do you enjoy doing this?
A) Uhm, duh.

Q) Will you continue it to the future?
A) I think so. I would love to see I Can Music as a big thing.

Q) What are you most excited for in your blogging career right now?
A) I'm extremely pumped to be going to Warped Tour on the 1st in Houston. I can't even explain it. It's going to be sick.

That's all that I have for now! We'll go back to regularly scheduled blogging tomorrow (:
I would like to notify the world that Eyes To Earth has a new single on their website called Sunshine Nohalani and that Interfate's CD is now available on iTunes and CD Baby. Check it out!

Rock of Ages.

Recently went to go watch Rock of Ages the other day with a friend.

I didn't really want to go see it... but the other movies sucked so bad that we decided that we might as well. So off we went, with neutral minds.

Which honestly made this movie very interesting. I had seen the previews for it, and it didn't really seem to interest me. I'm not sure why... I love 80's music, I love Russell Brand, I love rock 'n roll, the lead lover (Diego something-of-the-other... it started with a "B" ha.) was insanely attractive, but I just didn't have any desire at all to go see it.

So we're sitting there, and the movie starts and I'm thinking to myself, "Oh my gosh, are you freaking kidding me? This is so cheesy!" I really disliked the beginning. I didn't hate it. It didn't suck that bad. I just was bored with it. It didn't do much for me. So cliched... small town girl, moving away from her home to hit it big in another city that's just vicious and mean. And of course Mr. Hottie has to come along to help her out.

Just not that interesting.

But then, the middle became very interesting. A little more humorous, with some better numbers in there. The characters started to build and really come to life.

I really began to enjoy myself. It's as if the writer just took one giant chill pill and let it flow. It wasn't forced. The actors played it off beautifully.

And of course the ending was great.

So all in all, I would have to say that I enjoyed the movie. I'm happy that I went, but I wouldn't go to the theaters to see it again.

Some criticism that I did have, that really and honestly just irked me, was the fact that Catherine Zeta-Jones, a beautiful, sexy, talented woman, was made up all dowdy and given only one musical number of her own? What is that? I was very disappointed.

I was also not impressed with Tom Cruise as Stacie Jaxx.
.... For obvious reasons.

When you think of a hardcore, drunk, difficult rocker, your mind does not jump straight to Tom Cruise. My friend and I decided that Johnny Depp would've made a much better Stacie Jaxx, for reasons of, but not limited to:

  • Attractiveness
  • Talent
  • Ability to play a drunk man
  • Just attractiveness
  • The fact that he is more hardcore than freaking Tom Cruise!
So anyways, for what it's worth, there is my opinion. Yay!

(:

Picture from: some website that was causing pop ups on my computer, therefore does not get proper citation. Sorry website. Control your pop ups and we'll talk.

Juss Russ Update.

Alright so I just got to do an update over Juss Russ...

The more I listen to him, the more I am crazy over his music! I really can't explain it, but I'm just really into him.

His music isn't just rap... Mislabel or something. His music is real. Really real.

The lyrics are enticing, and vibrant, and lively. They're real and a turn on to be honest.

I just wanted to give my updated opinion, because he deserves that.

Please go listen! If you like rap, you will LOVE him. I promise!

For a look at the old post, and to see the networks to follow or like Juss Russ, click here.

I know this is a short post for today, but still.. plus I'm running short on some bands! Ha! But have no fear, I'll find some (: If you are a band, and want to be covered, just send me an email, or hit me up on Facebook.

AshelyNotDeadYet.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, good thing Ashley isn't dead yet... because I'm digging this awkward combination.

Name: AshleyNotDeadYet
Genres: Screamo/Pop (ScreamPop)
Where to find him:

Alright, so I was going through, checking out ANDY's (ha, get it? AshleyNotDeadYet... I didn't see it at first.) PureVolume profile like a good little blogger, and the first thing I noticed is that their genres were screamo and pop. My first thought was, "What the hell?" but then my mind decided that would be an awesome combination. I must be a musical genius (to some extent... Since I suck at actually creating music ha.) because I was right. AshleyNotDeadYet has a killer sound that is unique to their own self.

Now, I know that screamo isn't the most popular musical genre out there, but pop is... you know, since it is POPular. So even if you don't like screamo per-say, you should still check ANDY out, just for the sake of being open minded and adventurous.

On their PureVolume profile, you can download 3 of 4 songs - winning - and they will be coming out with their first CD soon. Very exciting too, because it's going to songs with English, Spanish, and Spanglish, which I think is pretty neat.

So yea, go look and listen. I'm sure you'll be presently surprised.

Oh yea, and speaking of CD's, COCO has picked up their CD's! And if you're from NJ, and you went to their show tonight, please tell how it went! (:
(NJ has all the cool music.. :( haha.)

Updates 2.

Heller there world.
Got some more updates for you.

First off, I'm on summer break, so let's see what awesome things summer brings me. I'm still working on the challenge/contest for you guys.
I'll release the name of who I'm teaming up with right now... MishaRecords! That's all you get to know for now, but we're coming up with some awesome stuff for y'all.
If you don't know who I'm talking about, check him out. His post is here.

Second, I want to make an update for No Sleep for Lucy. I didn't have any social media for y'all to go to, but they messaged me with some updated sites. So here we go:

They do exist past PureVolume! Yay! Haha. So yea, go like them, follow them, and listen.

I'm pretty sure that's all I have for you guys right now... I can't think of anything else. Not like it matters, I'll just post again haha. So check ya later!

Interfate.

Masters of balance were found tonight.

Name: Interfate
Genres: Rock/Grunge
Where to find them:

Okay, so masters of balance. Wondering how right? Well listen. To me, and their music, but yes, listen. They have successfully and artfully master rock and screamo combined together. There isn't so much screaming that you give up listening, and they scream in a way that is still understandable, so it doesn't just sound like globbidity-goop.

Also, their guitarist? Oh my... we had a discussion at supper tonight, about if I was president. Well, this kid would be my guitarist, and we would all come together and chill while listening to him play. Their guitarist is sick. I mean, insanely great. I was very impressed, on so many different levels.

All in all, this is a great band, even if you don't particularly dig screamers, because like I said, it's artfully done. Everything is balanced out to perfection.

Side notes -
  1. Check out the new background and static page buttons. Killer right? Martin and I worked hard. Applause for Martin.
  2. Be watching for a post about following the blog and getting some free music. I'm working on it, and I'm close to being ready to post!
  3. I hope y'all are all really enjoying the bands that I'm posting about. We've reached over 600 page views in less than a month, and that is awesome. So thank you guys. The bands I post over are hard workers that deserve this recognition. They deserve the acknowledgement I'm trying to give.
  4. This post will cover today (Friday) as well as tomorrow (Saturday...) for some reasons... Tomorrow I'll be dancing the night away at prom, so no post! But that's okay, because we're all going to be busy obsessing over Interfate right? Knew it. That's okay. Haha. We'll be back on track on Sunday though!
Thanks guys!

Updates.

Okay, so kudos to Martin. He's been a part of admin for one day, and he already has my static pages up. And little does he know, I have another project for him already. *insert mischievous text emoticon here*

And because I am quite the busy little bee, I don't have time tonight to post over Mikey Kendorzski... or however you spell. I did that from memory, so if it's actually right, I would be in shock. That will be my follow up tomorrow.

Right now I'm just informing the public about the amazing and spectacular changes to the site, and let everyone know they need to wish me luck tomorrow on my AP U.S. History test. (The main reason why I cannot post over good Mikey... I need as much sleep as possible tonight!)

Martin and I. My favorite picture of us.

So anyways, keep an eye out for more changes! I would also like to remind you all that the Nightbirds are working on their new release, and that MishaRecords has just finished recording his next song. I also hope all of y'all took advantage of CHALLENGER!'s freebie. And also be watching for a contest/deal with all my followers. Right now I only have one (S/O to BCailin!) so I mean, if you want all the prizes to go to them, then be my guest. Otherwise I suggest to follow, because I'm feeling some epic stuff coming up.

That's all. (:

Martinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Yayyyyyy, Martin! See, I am HTML-illiterate. Martin, however, is not. So he has decided to be the bestest best friend, and help me out.

Round of applause for Martin! I really appreciate his help. He's awesome, and I lurv him. <3

Also shout out to my computer science teacher, Mr. Chandler, for helping us out. He rocks as well.

Look out for some site updates. YAYYYY!

I wish I could add a picture of me and Martin... that'd be pretty awesome... I'll add one later. We're pretty attractive.
