It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.comBlogger69125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-86547816926341774212013-02-11T21:13:00.000-06:002013-02-11T21:13:15.169-06:00Finally!Finally guys, my computer is fixed! This is a great band to get back into my writing with, and I'm so excited. Lets begin, shall we?

So this band has been very patient with me, and I thank you guys so much. They messaged me back in November, but here it is, just like I promised.

Diary of Snow is an interesting mix of their genres above, creating a unique and creative sound that pulls you in from their first note played. When I hit the play button for California, I was immediately attached. I knew automatically what to expect, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I knew that I would love the music. Their sound reminds me of an old-school NSN meets Owl City, and who would've thought that the product would be so intriguing?

Not only that, their lyrics are killer, true, and raw. Quotable for sure, ha, and I was ready to go tweet them as soon as I heard them. I didn't, because I'm currently engaged, but it's the thought that counts right? The mix of songs on their PureVolume page is very impressive as well. The songs range on the emotional gradient, which is nice, because most bands tend to stick to one type of feeling. Diversity and uniqueness will definitely send this band to the top in only a matter of time.

Jordan, Trevor, and Erik describe Diary of Snow has not a project, nor a band, but as a movement, which I completely agree with and love. They are achieving their goals, and that's an amazing thing. Their debut album became available for free download on January 10, 2013, and their song, Baby, I Love You [Album Version], is available for free download.

Also be sure to check out their side project, Cheyenne's Music Box here!

Follow the blog, follow them, and show us all some love.
We appreciate everything you do for us. Without you after all, there wouldn't be an us (:

*Side note: I'll be posting more once my new computer comes in. I haven't had much technical luck lately, with my original computer crashing, then my new one freezing up constantly. It's been hard to make this happen, but I will be posting again. Not daily, because I'd like to do a better job posting so it may turn into one or two a week. Keep an eye out (: xo*
Not really by choice, but we do as we must do sometimes don't we?

I just had some time and decided that I needed to let everyone know that I got this really neat, new computer so maybe my inactive status will change. I'm really in love with it. So who knows?

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely break.

I know I've been MIA. It's on purpose. I figure I would rather do a top notch job than a shitty one, you know?

Anyway, I'm coming back for this post really quick because I wanted to share a little something with you guys...

In my computer science class, we had to create a Prezi over a topic relevant to the computer world. Guess which one I did? Ha.

Piracy, yup. So anyway, in our Prezi, we had to make an Animoto. I was kind of impressed with mine, so I thought I would share it... my Animoto that is, not my Prezi. You can look at that too, but you have to find it yourself ;D

Anyway, click here to see it. It's pretty sweet I'd say.

Oh, and just a B.T.W., I found this amazing new band. I'll be doing a legitmate post over them later. I'm very pumped about their music..

So now to make this even more relevant to music and what this blog is actually about, go check out these songs:
- Techno Fan by The Wombats: LOVE. Seriously. Such a cute song. Their amazing.
- Magic by NSN: I feel like I've already said to check this one out but oh well. It's amazing. Cracks me up. Given up faith in Chris? Have no fear. He's coming back.
- Oxford Comma by Vampire Weekend: Such a chill happy little tune. Recommend it if you just want to hang out and hold up the peace sign.
- Best of Us by the Dirty Heads: Love. This. Song. My friend suggested it because it reminds him of me ha. It's pretty great. Very Bob Marley.
- Clarity (feat. Foxes) by Zedd: This was a single of the week awhile back. I always download them, as should you. This definitely climbed up my list as a fave. The lyrics ring true.

That's all the time I have. I love you guys and appreciate everything y'all have done for me. Stay beautiful.
xoxoAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-41710672294416165762012-10-03T09:24:00.000-05:002012-10-03T09:24:45.898-05:00Really?I've been lacking in the blogging department lately. Life has been kicking my ass bad lately, and I don't have much time.

And I need a moment to vent. Because no one around is worth venting to.

First off, this would've marked the two year anniversary for one of the greatest relationships I've ever had. Of course, with my luck, it did not make it two years. I'm holding on to something that I should've let go, whatever, I've heard it all. Judge me. And it's not even that I'm holding onto him. I'm holding onto that happy feeling that I haven't gotten in about a year and a half since he left. I'm holding onto every smile, and laugh, and memory that has already happened, but won't ever happen again. On top of it, he now has a girlfriend that hates me, and won't allow us to be friends because she's insecure in her relationship.

Screw you, hoe.

Secondly, my car almost got towed this morning for no reason other than I parked close to the band cones. Excuse me for not parking in your box, but next to it my kind sir. I swear... dumbest BS I've ever seen in my life. So dumb. So, so dumb. I was lucky that one of the girls in my class came in late and told me because otherwise, I would've been carless this afternoon. I love the band to death, but do you really need the whole damn parking lot to practice? Nope. And why don't they just go on the field? There's no one on there during first period, so have at it. Leave us innocent bystanders alone, and let us park where ever we want.

Thirdly, I'm in my dual credit class right now. I have no work for my economics class (yay) and no work for school. So essentially I have nothing to do. My master plan for today to waste away these pointless 50 minutes with a teacher I cannot stand was to get on PureVolume, listen to some bands that have backed up, write my blogs, and have them ready to post.

But of course, with my luck, as my luck is going, that can't happen. Why? Because the two other girls I share my class with have decided that they need the headphones. It's not like I don't use them every day. It's not like music isn't my life or gets me through. Nahhhhh, who cares? Let's have headphones dangle from our neck and talk, so I can't use them.

Now commence the longest class period of my life.

I've been so mad lately. And so frustrated. I had a fabulous weekend. But I feel as if that was just a break between the sucking. Senior year is supposed to be fun right?

Not for me... hate to burst any hopeful seniors out there, but this is the second worst year of my high school career, and it's only been the first six weeks. Curious for the order?
It goes:
- Freshman
- Senior
- Sophomore
- Junior

What I would do to be a junior again, ha. But of course I also want to just get the hell out of here, so I'm happy with where I am in that sense. College Station can't be any closer to mine.

Yes. I am an Aggie. (;

I'm pretty sure this is the longest post I've ever written. I'll stop boring y'all with details about my life. Y'all come here for music. Not for my whining.

To add some music, check out these songs:

- Oh Well, Oh Well by MayDay Parade; my anthem lately. Love the lyrics. Plus Derek's voice is just sexy a'f.
- Magic by Never Shout Never; their newest release. I love it. It's so cute and sounds like his old stuff. If you've lost hope in Chris, no need, because he's coming back. So excited for his solo release too.
- Hills Like White Elephants by Isles and Glaciers; I'll be doing a more in depth post over these guys. It's a supergroup including Vic Fuentes, Mike Fuentes, Jonny Craig, Craig Owens, Nick Martin, Brian Southhall, and Matt Goddard. Insane stuff.
- King and Lionheart by Of Monsters and Men; my favorite. Love this song. So cute and sweet.
- The Boy with the Arab Strap by Belle and Sebastian; some of my favorite lyrics come from this song (Color my life with the chaos of trouble). Great little tune. It's an oldie, but a goodie.

Alright people. Done. Enjoy and have nice lives.

If you need to vent back, go for it. Comment away.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-26902011755999884812012-09-25T21:08:00.003-05:002012-09-25T21:08:50.825-05:00This Close. This post is long overdue. Mike asked me to write about him back in May, and here we are, in September, and I'm just now doing it. Shoot me ha. Sorry bro.

(There are probably more places to find This Close. I just don't know them. Sorry guys!)

This Close isn't on PureVolume, which is part of the reason this has taken me so long. I absolutely hate using YouTube to listen to music because it's slow, and you can never find the official video or original. It's always people doing covers. Very aggravating. Anyway, I bought the single Runaway, and I must say... love it. It's quite the jam ha.

There's a sense of professionality in it that makes it seem as if This Close has been recording and selling hits for years now. It's a nice sound that comes out, well produced and well sang (Well sang? That doesn't sound like a real thing.). The guitar in that song really gets me. I always hear it and it feels like the first time every time. I get so excited.

How lame am I? Ha.

Anyways, you can find this single on iTunes, just type in Runaway by This Close. You'll see it. It's only 99 cents, so no excuses to not buy it.
And I know that I should be.

I keep saying sorry, but that's because I am. I'm really busy with school, and senior year to the point of ridiculousness. I miss writing, and finding new music.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not getting enough sleep as is, and I'm stressed out enough without having to worry about being stressed about I Can Music. So readers, I love y'all. Keep checking. I do post. It doesn't always make my Twitter or Facebook, but it's there. (This post is the perfect example. Ha.) And bands, if you've contacted me, then you are on my list. I will write about you. It's just a matter of finding the right amount of time between homework, extra curriculars, and my current sickness level to write it. So don't continue to tweet me, message me, or anything of that sort.

Deal guys?
I love you all and appreciate everything that y'all have done for me.
If I would've known that, I would've done this post long ago.

You know I love this band personally and wholeheartedly because I just searched out their Facebook and Twitter. Normally if a band doesn't give me the links, I don't post them ha. But seriously, this band is primo.

Mumford & Sons is known, I know that much, and this band is comparable to them in the sense that they are folksy and old school, but they are completely different in the sense that they have a modern, new age twist on what they do. They're sound is one of their own. It's original and unlike any other that I know. I can say they sound like Mumford & Sons (which is true) but they are not Mumford & Sons (which is beautiful).

What I love most about this band is that the vocals are eerie and haunting. Their voices stay with you. I'm not sure if it's an Icelandic thing, or just Nanna's and Ragner's voices, but it's beautiful. They have such a raw talent that can't be contained. I love listening to every song of their's, because the power of their voices just bursts through the speakers. It's truly amazing.

Even if you don't like folksy music, or Mumford & Sons, or something off the wall, listen anyways, because Of Monsters and Men makes this work.

My personal favorite song is King and Lionheart. It's mine and Martin's song (: I decided.

For the rest of you, y'all are probably wondering why the heck I'm doing a post over such a bubble gum, cookie cutter, pop artist. Will all be explained momentarily, I promise!

I'm sure most of you (well, maybe...) have heard this girl's new single, "Want U Back." If you have, you will be able to know that Cher Lloyd is a typical, teenaged, pop singer. The lyrics of this song - while they ring extremely true in more than one case - are not deep. There's no extra, deeper meaning or some lesson learned. You may relate, but there's not much feeling. The song could have been sung by any other pop star, like Selena Gomez. The song is not one of it's own. And that's not to say that Cher Lloyd didn't write it herself. I have no clue. She could have. Let's just get that straight.

But the other day, I tweeted about how this beautiful young lady interested me, and I had no idea why. Well ladies and gents, the truth has arrived. I am interested in Cher Lloyd, buy Cher Lloyd's music, all because Cher Lloyd herself is extremely talented. She belts out the lyrics as if she feels them. She puts life into a lifeless song. Which is absolutely amazing in case you didn't recognize. And that is the sole reason why I like her, and why I keep jamming out loud at the top of my lungs.

So if you haven't checked this lovely lady out quite yet, go for it. You may surprise yourself. Her album Sticks & Stones comes out in the U.S. on October 2nd, so very exciting!

I didn't think up this post however until right now.

I'm sitting in my dual credit class (college class + high school class) and I had finished everything on Blackboard so I thought I'd work on some English work. Well I had to read two poems, annotate, and then answer questions.

The poems were The Ballad of Birmingham by Dudley Randall and Suicide's Note by Langston Hughes. The first one is just depressing and heart breaking about losing a child in the Birmingham church bombing. Not relevant to this post really, other than it already sets up the tone to be sad. The other poem though, Suicide's Note, is (shocking) relevant. I'd like to share it for a moment:
"The calm,
Cool face of the river
Asked me for a kiss."*

My "love" mark is still on my wrist from yesterday, and after reading this poem I just really had to stop and think. I've been listening to a lot of MayDay Parade lately, and that music is just like the most depressing music ever. (Good music, good band, yes, another post for another time however. Maybe later tonight.) I haven't been happy, and now is a good time to evaluate it as any isn't it?

I'm not saying I'm going to go kill myself. Let's take that off the table right now ha. But just think, you have felt sad haven't you? And people like you and me find resort in music. And poetry. And artsy things that no one else really can truly understand. Imagine feeling that sad that none of the things that comfort you work. Would the river ask you for a kiss? Would you kiss it back?

How upset do you have to be? Who pushes you there?

The anti-bullying talk is a little worn out by now, but in all seriousness, as someone who feels pain, other's pain, and sees pain all over, I am going to beg and plead for you to be the helping hand, not the hurtful push. No one should ever have to feel like they aren't good enough and no one should not have a resort. We all should be able to escape somewhere, whether it be music or painting or writing... it should be there. If you need help, all of the ways to reach me are here on this blog. I can help as much as I can.

Just don't be a statistic. Don't be a part of the reason we need a day like yesterday. You are beautiful. You are special. You matter; your story matters.

I feel as if I just preached to the wrong crowd, but I preach anyway. You can never be reminded enough. I love every single one of you who read my blog, and I really want to just say thank you for helping me make this something. Without you, I'd just be a girl with a computer.

Have a great day guys, and remember you are loved.
I'm Sorry. Concentrationnnnnnn.I think I'm the worst blogger on the face of the planet... scratch that, I am the worst.

Senior year has been hitting my backside pretty hard. It's the worst but this time I'm for real on my promise about doing better. Even if it means that I get no sleep and die of exhaustion. Totally worth it for you guys!

Anyways, since school has started and I have been completely bogged down with homework, I've needed a lot of concentration help. Don't know if you guys have noticed, but I'm all over the place. It gets crazy. And when I'm doing my work, or trying to collect ideas, I find it hard to concentrate, especially in my college classes.

I've noticed this weird trend though. If I put on certain types of music, I numb out and going into a deep concentration and I can get so much done. It's crazy. I typically put on Pierce the Veil or Mumford & Sons, but really any music works.

This isn't really that weird, but a lot of people prefer total silence. So I guess what I'm wondering is if this stems from the fact that I'm a music freak or if it's just me. What do you guys prefer?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-7853349933975129292012-08-27T23:17:00.000-05:002012-08-27T23:17:10.258-05:00Music for the Heart.Everyone has a band that they turn to when they feel hurt or mad or upset. At least one song. It's human nature I believe to use music to heal pain. Mainly because music is so good at it. It says what we can't.

My favorite band, as of right now all time, is Pierce the Veil. It doesn't matter what mood I'm in, I can listen to them, and they up my mood. Happiness becomes escalated, and sadness is numbed. It's an amazing thing. Vic's voice sings me to sleep almost every night, no joke ha.

I fall in love with every song I hear by them, and when I saw them at Warped Tour, I fell in love. Flat faced on the floor with my heart on my sleeve. Everything about their performance was amazing, and you guys know how I am... I like my bands to be good onstage, in radio, and in the heart.

Personally my favorite song to listen to is Caraphernelia. It has emotional connections for me to someone else, but every lyric touches my heart. I can relate to everything they sing. It's amazing.

So who is yours?
Who do you turn to?

Let me know.
Right? No? Not so much?

Well if you do not know who the Flobots are, you will know one of their songs... Handlebars. Still don't know? Well then you had no life in between the years of 2006-2007ish. Sucks to suck and the rest of this post will be the greatest discovery of your life. Promise.

I remember this song in 6th grade. If you could rap the words, then you were the coolest kid ever. No lie. Even back then we knew how amazing this song was, without even really knowing what a golden tune we were listening to.

I almost never listen to the radio... way too many commercials. But for some reason the other day, I said, "94.5 now!" and changed to the radio. Lo and behold, it was on a commercial, but right as I went to change it, what song comes on? That's right class, Handlebars by Flobots. I couldn't change the station then, because this golden nugget from my past was blasting through my speakers.

As I listened to it, I heard it with all my new knowledge of music and realized, "Holy crap... these guys were geniuses." Every part of the song is an absolute work of a creative genius... from the instrumental to the lyrics, every part is just genius. (I understand the repetitiveness of this, but that's literally the word to describe this song.)

The fact that this is a rap song mixed in with alternative backgrounds mixed in with jazz roots. The trumpet in the background is my favorite part of the song, mainly because it's so original and the trumpet player is so good at playing. The lyrics also have such an interesting meaning. They make you think. I'm not going to try to analyze them for you, because the only people who know what they mean are Flobots themselves. This song is, without argument, way ahead of its time. If it were to come out again, now, I can almost guarantee that it would've hit bigger than it did back in the day, which is saying something, because it hit the top of the charts for the longest time then.

If you haven't ever heard this song or this band, here.

I must go to sleep for my senior year tomorrow now. Whoot whoot.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-80635982408787016472012-08-22T00:56:00.000-05:002012-08-22T00:56:28.768-05:00I Suck. I Know.Wow. So this girl has been M.I.A. for a little too long. I know, and I apologize right here, right now.

I really can only say that life has been kicking my ass lately, so it's been hard rolling. See - get ready for some life story - I'm going to be a senior. And I'm a very involved senior. And while music is my utmost and most passionate passion that I have, there are so many things I do that take up way too much time.

I will gladly say though that after cheer camp (no Internet, no time, and no headphones. What the hell was I thinking?) and after being on the verge of dying for the past couple weeks (coughing, fever, chills, pains, sore throat, headaches... fun business.), I am officially back on the blogging map. It's also been hard to find some new artists. I need to get rolling on PureVolume and Twitter (@Paige_Oliviaa) so I can find y'all some new obsessions!

Although I will say I went on a music buying spree the other day, so I do have some interpreting and opinion-giving to do! How exciting.

Well, as for now, I'm going to reward myself for finishing up half of my summer assignment (take that Frankenstein and Beowulf!) by getting plenty of sleep, so I may wake up, and go watch The Campaign tomorrow for the second time. Insert smiling emoji with teeth showing here.

Night lovers. Listen to that music <3Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-40465065166779651932012-07-27T00:26:00.001-05:002012-07-27T00:26:30.266-05:00Movie Music. So for some reason, lately I have been watching SO many movies. Like a ridiculous amount.

And I always listen to the music (oh my, big shock.) and think, "Wow, whoever did this was rocking it!" or "Holy crap, this is terrible."

So far, I have decided that the Step Up series has the absolute worst music choices. Not for the fact that the music they pick is bad... it's usually the top of the charts tunes. But the fact that they're trying so hard to be new and hot, and they use the music to get people to go see the movie in the first place really turns me off. Why not find some new underground rappers, like Juss Russ? Give someone else a job, some coverage. Usher, and Jay-Z, and whoever else they have don't need that coverage.

Just saying.

The best music I've heard in a movie so far has to be from... Over the Hedge! No joke ha. I love that movie. One of my favorites for multiple reasons that we will not go into, for the fact that this is a music blog, not a reasons-why-Paige-has-a-weird-obsession-with-the-cartoon-kid-movie-of-animals.
If you have never seen this movie, and you're wondering why I would even say it has the best music, I'm going to need you to stop what you're doing right now, go to the store and buy the DVD, go home, put it into your television, watch it, and allow your mind to be blown.
My favorite song from the soundtrack is Rocking the Suburbs by Ben Folds. Folds actually did most of the music in the movie, and he did a fabulous job.

So, now I would like you guys to email me, or comment, or tweet, or tweegram, or what-ever, me your favorite movie soundtrack.(:
Alright, so coming back with a bang I must say because Destins Tide is pretty great. Seriously, from vocals to instrumental to lyrics... they are on point with it all. Everything meshes together beautifully in a way that some bands fail to do. Their sound is that of one that is original, yet familiar, so you feel comfortable listening to them. Your ears aren't straining to decide if they like what they hear or not, because it's not a sound that is so out there and strange.

The light screaming in the songs is a nice touch as well. It's not too much to where an average listener would be turned off, but it's just enough for a screamo-fanatic would be disappointed. Music is about a careful balance, and Destins Tide has it perfectly figured out for themselves.
Go to their PureVolume page (after liking them on Facebook of course) and download their two free downloads as well.
Good stuff they have. The ones that are free are my personal favorites.

Like, computerless difficulties.

So sorry about that, and tomorrow normal posting will resume!

Send in some requests, because I've been getting some on Facebook and whatnot.

Have a great night world<3Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01188555123467738027noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2447001046539157928.post-59253666343011079792012-07-04T23:46:00.000-05:002012-07-04T23:46:05.265-05:00Warped Tour Tips.Okay, so I wish someone would have told me this stuff before I went.

To the point this post shall be, for I am celebrating the birth of our country.

1. Buy a backpack there.
- I brought a small purse, that went across the chest, but no. And don't bring a backpack, because they sell the absolute cutest ones there! They're about $25, which isn't that bad.

2. Bring your own bottle.
- A bottle of water, Coke, Gatorade, whatever, but have your own bottle going in there, because drinks are like $5 if you buy them there, and you can fill up water for free at the free water stations. So just bring it in, and then fill her up!

3. Wear minimal clothing.
- There are going to be girls there in bikinis, and guys in short shorts, so have no fear of looking "slutty" or something. It gets hot. So it's okay, and it's worth it.

4. Don't wear flip flops.
- There were people walking around in them, and I have no idea how! My feet got stepped on so much, that I'm sure their toes were hurting. I personally wore some Vans from their surf collection. Just make sure they're closed toed and comfy and you'll be fine.

5. Download the Warped Tour app.
- It'll help a lot. Plus you get 10 free songs when you download it, so why not?

6. Check out Battle of the Bands.
- You never know who might be over there that you like!

7. Go to the Monster Bar.
- There's AC. There's a place with real chairs to sit down. There's free Monster. Need I say more? The line may be long but it's so worth it.

8. Get your tickets beforehand.
- Like, go to TicketMaster and pick those MoFo's up, because the Will Call line was ridiculously long, as well as the line to purchase there! Cory and I bought ours online - there is a $9 convenience charge, that is so worth it - and then walked straight in!

9. Go with friends.
- Duh, right? Well there were some people alone, and it was sad ha. But I suggest going with a group of 2-4. We walked around and it was typically me, Cory, and Morgan, which was perfect. We all wanted to pretty much see the same people and no one wanted to mosh really.. But then we met up with my friends Juan and Shirley, expanding our group to 5, and the boys went to mosh while us girls stood back. It was a good balance. So don't go with a million friends, but do have someone there.

10. Meet at least one person/band/group/thing.
- We met Miss May I's Levi Benton. I don't even listen to them that much, and it was still awesome. So just do it. Take advantage of the opportunity. I'm not saying wait in a long ass line for someone, but just keep an eye out. The lead singer of Vampires Everywhere! was just hanging out at their merch tent for awhile.

I also would like to say I took about $150 and I spent about $130. Just to give an idea on how much to bring. I didn't eat though. I stayed hungry for the sake of me buying pointless things I didn't really need... ha!

I hope everyone has an awesome Warped experience like I did! I would like to specially thank Cory for driving me out there, and "babysitting" (; ha. I had a great time spending my entire day with you. And I would also like to thank Morgan for being there and making my day even better! Barely knew you, and we were best friends (; haha.
Both of y'all are awesome, and I can't wait to hang out again! We must get together soon. <3

Anyway, have a blast! Share your experience. Email me about it, and I'll hook you up with some free tunes from a band that played there. (Oh snap!)

So first off, I must say mind is blown. That was an amazing day. Ah-mazing.

That was the nasty weather that Cory and I drove in. Talk about horrendous. It didn't take us that long to get there, but just the fact that this is what we were driving in that was scary.

And I'm not going to lie, I was extremely impressed at the crowd's ability to not whine about rain. Everyone was determined to have fun, and that's what happened. It was really great to be around people that love music as much as I do. We were all there for the bands we loved, and to support them. And the bands were there for us. (More on that in a bit.)

This was the Monster Stage, like right when you walked in. Probably one of the bigger stages for a couple reasons... one there was tons of space over there, and two, the stage itself was big ha. This picture in particular was when we were waiting on Chelsea Grin to play. Extra kudos to that guy, because he was hella sick! When he was talking, he sounded horrible, but he still got on stage and screamed his heart out. What was even more impressive is that he still sounded absolutely amazing! Other bands that we saw on the Monster Stage were:

- Vampires Everywhere!

We saw this band on accident. They were weird as hell! Ha. We thought that Motionless in White was going to come on, but realized we were mistaken when a guy came out with some serious make up and his arms taped around his back with a cardboard sign that said, "Hellbound I." (Which we found out was their new album.) We left but came back to listen, and I must say, they were really good at what they were doing. Cory and I were very impressed although we would like the lead singer to know that crack kills.

- Motionless in White

I know this picture is super tiny and you can't really see, but that is Motionless in White on stage. They. Were. Amazing. I was so impressed. I mean, I listened to, and enjoyed, their music before, but live is so much different. It's better. It's intoxicating. And that's really for any band. I loved watching them, and it was awesome because the boys went to the middle to mosh while us girls stayed back and just danced and talked and had fun. Motionless in White definitely put on an impressive show. They really came in close to Pierce the Veil.

- Mayday Parade

I was extremely disappointed with Mayday Parade. I love their album A Lesson in Romantics, but not super into their newest album. And that is all they freaking played! I was really wanting to hear some classics. But not only that, in Houston (and I say that because in San Antonio my friend said this didn't happen), they were lip singing! Words were coming out of the speakers, being sung beautifully, but not a single person was at a microphone. Either their singer is just that talented, or they were lip singing. Believe what you want, but I was so upset. It's like someone had told me that Santa wasn't real. After that we all just walked away.

This was the Kia Rio stage. Main stage to be completely accurate. I thought the Monster Stage was the main stage, but I was wrong! Ha. Right here The Used is playing, and they were awesome. I had never heard their music before (oops. Sorry world.) so hearing them live for the first time was like my ears having their virginity taken from them ha. We were jamming to them from the Monster bar, which by the way if you haven't gone to Warped Tour yet you have to go to. I will make a side note that the Monster bar was insane. The line was pretty long, but we were in in about 10 minutes, and you get all the free Monster you want, plus AC! If the other places are set up like in Houston, this is the best place for a good view of the Kia Rio stage.

Some other bands we saw here were;

- All Time Low

I was so excited to see them! AGH! Haha. I have a picture of them onstage, but it's nothing special, so no sharing haha. I loved their show. They honestly did a fabulous job. What was unique to them, that the other bands didn't do too much of, was they actually talked to the crowd. They were hilarious. My favorite question was, "Who's feeling sexual today?!" It was great ha.

- Pierce the Veil

Best. Show. Ever. Stage was freaking amazing (as you can tell) and their show was freaking amazing. I can't even think up words to describe how insane this was. I was so close to the mosh that I was getting pushed around. I almost got kicked in the head twice from crowd surfers. And it was great ha. I was just jumping around like everyone else, singing/screaming along. Haven't gone to Warped? Go to Pierce the Veil.

The Battle of the Bands stage was pretty cool... more of my speed. This is Chunk! No Captain, Chunk. They're French. They scream. They rock. Other bands that played here include A Mid-Summer Classic (ran into Robert Dobbs like 5 times, just walking around.) and A Midnight Chicago. This was a really chill spot to just be around.

Fun fact about this picture: We the Kings was filming their music video to their newest release right here. The crowd went absolutely insane. It was great. I had to document the moment. Everyone be jealous.

Okay, so I know that some of you must know who these guys are. For those that don't, this is the band Miss May I. Now here is an amazingly fun story to tell... ha.

The guy with the long curly hair is Levi Benton, their lead singer. You see how close I was standing... we were there looking at shirts, and Levi was taking a bit of a break in between signing, when I noticed him looking me up and down. Yea, that's right, ME. Levi-freaking-Benton was checking me out. So I said hey, and he goes, "Oh hello," with an adorable smile. Then Cory couldn't decide if he wanted to buy a shirt, because he wanted it signed, but couldn't get it signed because we didn't have a ticket, but then I was a genius, and stalled by taking this picture with Levi:

It was awesome. I was all like, "Hey man! Take a picture with me?!" and he answered with, "Uh, yea?! Sure!" So we took this and then he signed my warped ticket. It was great. After we left he said, "Nice to meet you! Always nice to meet a pretty girl.." and then I smiled huge. It was awwwwwwwww-some!

So share your Warped stories, and best of luck to those that are going! Tomorrow I'll write some tips for first timers that I learned yesterday. (:

Since I didn't know, me and him sat down and did a little listening on iTunes and YouTube to come up with the following opinion

Name: The Mid-Summer Classic
Genre: Unlisted. I would put them under alternative/pop
Where to find them:

Facebook -
http://www.facebook.com/themidsummerclassic

YouTube -
http://www.youtube.com/user/themidsummerclassic

Official Site -
http://themid-summerclassic.com/

Search "The Mid-Summer Classic" and you'll find them on iTunes.

You can find their singer, Robert Dobbs, on Instagram and Twitter as well. His Instagram name is robertdobbs, and the Twitter link is:

https://twitter.com/itsrobertdobbs

It would also appear that I have just stumbled upon the band's Twitter as well... their "at" name is: @TMSCband.

Knock yourself out. I must give tonight's post a warning label however... I have taken a sufficient amount of NyQuil to like, drug myself ha. It's bad. I'm really trying here thouhg, so hopefully it won't be too bad!

Let's begin, shall we?

I will begin this post with the best. The Mid-Summer Classic has a clean, crisp sound that is beautifully mastered and most likely technically perfect. Everything about their music is tailored and just perfect. The vocals have no mess ups; the instruments hit every note...

I will have to say though, perfection is overrated and originality is somethign that can be used and utilized.

As much as I would love to say that I love TMSC, Cory and I both agreed that while they were good, very good, they were not their own band. They were a cookie cutter version of other bands.

And while beginning bands can pull that off, the fact that I will be seeing you at Warped Tour on the first upsets that balance.

All in all though I think that the public will accept them, and they'll probably shoot to the top soon.

That's all folks!

I don't feel like doing a "Check It Out," post, because I'm not feeling any songs at the moment.

I actually feel really sick... that's why I've kind of been M.I.A. some lately..

Plus I'm waiting on Warped Tour baby! Ha!
I'm so excited that I can't even think about it. I'm so pumped...
I feel as if July 1st will never ever come, real t. Ha.

But anyways, if you're a band, or want me to check out a band, or a song... anything really... just leave a comment, or email me. Whatever is easiest for you.

Open to anything you need.
